“She’ll appreciate that.” Susie is one of the few people in Midge’s life who supports her and thinks that she can actually make it as a comic.

Midge is a little nervous at the idea of Robert seeing her perform, but mostly she’s excited. Hopefully he won’t think she’s too vulgar, though he doesn’t seem to mind her cursing. In her experience with him, not much shocks him — except maybe how attractive she finds him.
